Drivers plying the Accra-Tema motorway, particularly, the route around the Accra Mall are struggling to pave their way through massive smoke that has engulfed the stretch as a result of burning activities.

Clouds of smoke, as captured in an amateur video, filled the area, making vision quite difficult for drivers on the route. Little traffic built up as a result of the situation as motorists tried to pave their way out.

It is still unclear yet what necessitated the burning of the weeds in that area.

Meanwhile, police officers in the area are going about their duties, directing traffic and ensuring order on the route.

This raises questions about how much progress the country has made as far as education on pollution is concerned, considering such an open area with human activities is being polluted.
